obsolete, rare return; a moving back
Returnment refers to the practice of resuming work at a place of employment from which one has retired. The term, derived from the word “retirement”, is used by individuals who have returned to work.
This return may be due to such factors as boredom, a desire for gainful activity, or financial needs that are not satisfied by retirement income.
