What is the dictionary definition of Resale?

Dictionary Definition

  1. n. selling again, particularly at retail.
  2. adj. referring to sales to the general public, as distinguished from wholesale, sales to retailers.

In many US states, a “resale license” or “resale number” is required so that the state can monitor the collection of sales tax on retail sales.
