Full Definition of OTC Bulletin Board


The OTC Bulletin Board is an automated trading system managed by the National Association of Security Dealers (NASD). Listing over 3,300 securities, the OTC Bulletin Board provides users with real-time quotes, last-sale pricing data, and volume information for over-the-counter (OTC) securities not listed or traded on any other securities exchange. Information from the OTC Bulletin Board can be accessed via market data terminals or the Internet. The OTC Bulletin Board includes quotation data regarding domestic and foreign equities, warrants, units, American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), and Direct Participation Programs (DPPs). Companies that want their securities listed on the OTC Bulletin Board must file with the SEC or other supervisory agency. Securities traded on the OTC Bulletin Board have the suffix “.OB”.
