1. Under the LRA (1925) a notice was entered against the registered title to protect a right recognized by the titleholder. This form of notice is now called an AgreedNotice under the LRA (2002).
2. Under the LRA (2002), all forms of interest in land that are not suitable to be entered as a restriction (see a restriction on register) must be entered as a notice. There are two forms, an agreed notice and a Unilateral Notice.
