The engineering of microscopic devices
Microengineering concerns the fabrication of machines and structures at a molecular level.
Microengineering refers to the technologies and practice of making three-dimensional structures and devices with dimensions in the order of micrometres. The two constructional technologies of microengineering are microelectronics and micromachining.
Micro engineered pumps and motors are barely visible to the naked eye and have potential uses in mimicking living-organism processes. The term is often used interchangeably with nanotechnology.
