Expandability refers to the ability of a computer system to accommodate enhancements to its capacity or capabilities. From a hardware point of view, expandability may include extra or bigger hard disks, more memory, or a faster-dedicated graphics chip. From a software point of view, it may include the ability to support more network users, a greater number in ‘hits’ from website visitors, or a faster ability to number crunch.
