Full Definition of Multiple Support Agreement


An agreement that involves two or more taxpayers who support the same dependent. It allows each taxpayer to be able to claim an exemption for the dependent for the tax return of that tax year. Each taxpayer in the agreement must be responsible for 10% of the dependent’s support for the agreement to be effective. The 2120 form can be used to make such a claim.
