Mini Sized Dow Option

Full Definition of Mini Sized Dow Option

An option traded on the Chicago Board of Trade having underlying assets that consist of Dow Jones Industrial Average futures contracts. With this type of option, the holder has a more leveraged position on their investment in comparison to cash index options that have a lower cost. This is due in part because these types of options have a five times multiplier, meaning that each of the options contracts on the particular index will hold five times the value of that index.
