An option traded on the Chicago Board of Trade having underlying assets that consist of Dow Jones Industrial Average futures contracts. With this type of option, the holder has a more leveraged position on their investment in comparison to cash index options that have a lower cost. This is due in part because these types of options have a five times multiplier, meaning that each of the options contracts on the particular index will hold five times the value of that index.
