High-Yield Financing


Full Definition of High-Yield Financing


A means of raising funds by issuing unsecured high-yield securities. The issued bonds have low credit rating and high risk, thus the issuer pays higher interest rates. High yield financing are used in a takeover where the acquiring firm needs much cash in order to finance its acquisition.
