Vapour lock is the situation whereby the liquid in a pipeline (or tubeline) gets trapped in the line and cannot flow because of vapour formation.
An interruption in the flow of a liquid through a fuel line or other pipe as a result of vaporisation of a liquid.
In internal combustion engines, Vapour lock is a problem caused by liquid fuel changing state to gas while still in the gasoline-fueled fuel delivery system.
