Define: Negligent

“Negligent” refers to behaviour or actions that demonstrate a lack of reasonable care or attention, resulting in harm or injury to another person or their property. In legal terms, negligence involves a failure to exercise the level of care that a reasonably prudent person would under similar circumstances. To prove negligence, the injured party typically must show that the negligent party owed a duty of care, breached that duty through their actions or inaction, and caused harm or damage as a result.
