Full Definition of Inhibition


In registered conveyancing, an inhibition entered against a Registered Title has the effect of preventing all dealings with that title, without the consent of the Registrar or a court. Inhibitions were rarely used, and under the Land Registration Act 2002, this category of entry is merged with the Restriction.
