Flower Bond


Full Definition of Flower Bond


A bond purchased by investors in order to cover the payment of federal estate taxes. If the bondholder passes away prior to the bond’s maturity, flower bonds mature at their face value and can be used to pay estate taxes. Also called estate tax anticipation bonds.
