Failure of issue refers to a situation in which a person dies without leaving any surviving descendants who are entitled to inherit their property. In the context of estate planning and inheritance law, if an individual dies without leaving any children, grandchildren, or other legally recognised descendants, the property may pass to other beneficiaries as outlined in the deceased person’s will or according to the laws of intestacy.
