Full Definition of Estimated Current Return


The estimated return that should be expected for a unit investment trust over a short period of time (i.e. annually). It is an estimate of the interest that will be distributed to a unit holder. To obtain the estimated current return, divide the estimated annual interest income from the portfolio securities by the maximum public offering price.
