A transaction where common stock is sold and the proceeds reinvested to buy convertible securities with an underlying conversion option that provides the same amount of common stock before the sale. For instance, an investor may sell 100 shares of common stock and use the proceeds to buy as many convertible bonds as needed to convert it to 100 shares. See also equal dollar swap
