Earnings Momentum


Full Definition of Earnings Momentum


Pattern where a company experiences increasing earnings per share from period to period. For example, a rise of 10% to 15% earnings per share would be considered earnings momentum. When a company experiences earnings momentum, it is typically seen as an indicator that stock price will increase as well.
