A range of days applied to the management of securities positions that represent a series of stages within a trend or a timeframe for trading securities. For example, a 3-day trading cycle for a particular stock may include a buying stage, a selling stage and a short-selling stage. Position traders might use a longer cycle such as 20 or 30 days.
