A periodic examination of banks meant to ensure said banks are operating in accordance with the Community Reinvestment Act, consumer protection laws and fair lending statutes. The examination is focused on operational areas that tend to pose the largest compliance risks and procedural areas institutions have in place to ensure adherence to published regulations.
