Full Definition of Clearing Broker


A broker who specifically mediates the transactions between an investor and a clearing corporation. As with any other broker, a clearing broker would make sure that a transaction is completed fairly for both parties. Clearing brokers are also available to provide the investor or corporation with any information they may require regarding the transaction.
