A technical chart analysis tool used to predict price trends. It is part of the Ichimoku Kinko Hyo indicator. The span is created by plotting 26 trading period closings, excluding the most recent. A span which rises above the closing price line is considered a bullish sign whereas a span below is considered bearish.
