A chart analysis tool that indicates price movement momentum. The oscillator represents data points calculated by determining the difference between the sum of all recent gains and all recent losses, divided by the total price movement during the period. A rising oscillator indicates a growing trend whereas a falling oscillator indicates slowing momentum.
