Cash-and-stock Dividend


Full Definition of Cash-and-stock Dividend


Earnings that are distributed to shareholders in both stocks and cash dividends; shareholders are given cash and stocks by a corporation. The monetary value of the shares is expressed in the cash, and the percentage of shares is shown in stock dividends. The stock dividends are not taxable, while the cash are.
