Full Definition of Carrying Broker


A broker, usually a futures commission merchant, who conducts transactions for other individuals. A carrying broker can conduct trades for other brokers, or any customer. This broker is usually someone very active in the market, and who will conduct transactions for those who are not able or willing to do so themselves for any reason, including lack of knowledge, desire, or time.
