Business, Legal & Accounting Glossary
An organization of Canadian actuaries established in 1965 by the federal Parliament. Similar to the American Academy of Actuaries, and the institute requires members to live in Canada and be associated with actuarial organizations that are approved by CIA. The CIA also designates the Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
