Broker/dealer who is considered successful based on the level of sales he or she is able to achieve and the commissions that are acquired as a result of these sales. Big producers will typically bring in commissions in excess of $1 million a year for the brokerage firms that they are employed by. This type of broker/dealer is highly sought out by brokerage firms and often offered lucrative incentives for agreeing to be a part of a brokerage firm. also called rainmaker.
