1. Credit card vendors: method of computing average size of sales by credit card. 2. Broker/dealers: average cost or trade by each customer. Calculation of the average ticket, whether it is used for credit card vendors or broker/dealer commissions is by calculating the total amount of sales over a specific period of time, and then dividing by the time period.
