After-Market Performance

Full Definition of After-Market Performance

The price movement of a security after the close of the exchange. During the after-market period, investors can trade both exchange-listed and non-listed stock without a market maker involved. The lack of market makers introduces both price volatility and lack of liquidity to trading during this period. Also called Extended-Hours Performance.
